Gap Peak scramble in the Kananaskis Front Range is a great objective year round. On the Jan 9th trip our team headed up the regular Gap Peak scramble route as described by Alan Kane. We then crossed the summit and attempted to descend the SE ridge to make the route a loop but snow covered difficult scrambling sections were just too risky without tools and rope.
A few months later Joanna and I returned to ascend the SE ridge of Gap Peak (Ankle Biter) and made the Gable ridge traverse to Fable. Click here for GPS link.
