If you’re looking to tag multiple front range summits via sweet mellow ridges you’ll love this trip. Getting from Midnight Peak to Tiara is straightforward, you basically follow the ridge-top from Midnight towards Tiara right up to it’s summit block where there is a well defined scree path circumventing the cliffy north aspect of the summit to the left (east).

Joanna Ford’s idea to return via Porcupine ridge worked brilliantly. As a loop, the route unfolds perfectly and making the return trip any other way just wouldn’t be as fun. This highly recommended loop would make for an excellent mountain outing in either direction, and, with views being crazier than the scrambling this front range summit/ridge buffet is sure to be enjoyed by all.
